چکیده
Introduction: Supracondylar humerus fracture is one of the most found fractures in children. In addition to adequate fixation, role age differences clinical outcomes operative treatment supracondylar humeral still a matter debate. This study aimed compare and radiological outcome surgery cases Gartland type III fracture. Materials Methods: used cross-sectional design on population patient with Patients were divided into 2 groups: <5 years old (Group 1) >5 2). The evaluation was carried out 3 months after open reduction internal fixation crisscross wire. parameters assessed Baumann’s angle, carrying anterior line, Disabilities Arm, Shoulder, Hand (DASH) Score. Difference between group analyzed using chi-square test. Results: There total 34 patients included this study. had 1.85 times greater chance have post-operative angle >15o (95% CI 0.993-3.474; p = 0.037) 2.75 result >80o 1,089-6,943, p=0.037). no significant line (p=1) DASH score (p=0.244) groups. Conclusion: over 5 tend worse (carrying angle) than younger old. Thus, aged more requires attention vigilance against complications that can affect bone growth pediatric patients.

Closed Reduction versus Open Reduction and Pin Fixation in Pediatric Type III Supracondylar Humeral Fractures
Background Supracondylar humeral fractures constitute about 60% and 13% of all pediatric elbow and pediatric skeletal fractures, respectively, with a peak incidence in the 5-7 years age group. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare closed reduction with open reduction and pin fixation in type III supracondylar humeral fractures in children younger than...
متن کاملResults of type-III supracondylar fracture humerus with open reduction and internal fixation in children after failed closed reduction.
BACKGROUND Supracondylar fracture of humerus is the second most common fracture in children which account for 60-75% of all fractures around the elbow. There are various treatment modalities for type-III fracture, i.e., closed reduction and casting, skeletal traction, close reduction and percutaneous pinning and open reduction and internal fixation. This study was conducted to see the outcome o...

ABSTRACT Introduction: In areas where intraoperative radiography facilities are not available, open reduction is an acceptable treatment option for fracture treatment. The aim of this investigation was to compare the outcomes of closed reduction to open reduction with cross-pinning fixation in Gartland Type III supracondylar humeral fracture extensions. Methods: In this retrospective study, clo...
